One Hurt in I-57 Wreck in Williamson Co. Early Tuesday Morning

Williamson Co. – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-57 in Williamson County early Tuesday morning. According to Illinois State Police, 57-year-old Juda Faye Brown of Jacks Creek, TN was driving south in the left lane on I-57 at milepost 46 around 5:15 when she had a tire blow out that caused her semi to veer into the right lane hitting the left rear side of another semi’s trailer. That semi was driven by 74-year-old John Henry Upton of Nashville, TN. Brown’s semi then ran off into the center median. It sustained major damage. Brown had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was airlifted to a regional hospital. Upton was not injured.
