Jackson Co. – A death investigation is underway after a body was found in rural Jackson County yesterday. According to a release from the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Office, the body was found near Campbell Pond and is believed at this time to be the body of 43-year-old William Stroud of Dowell. Stroud was reported missing by family on January 17th, and family members had not heard from him since prior to that time. An autopsy has been scheduled.
