IDOT – Work has begun to add an additional lane to Interstate 57 in Williams and Franklin Counties. According to a release from IDOT the project will stretch from mile post 57 to mile post 65, expanding 4.4 miles of the interstate to add an additional lane in each direction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during night work.
