Franklin Co. – No injuries are being reported following a wreck on Interstate 57 in Franklin County yesterday afternoon. According to a release from the Illinois State Police the accident occurred when a semi rolled over onto the median from the northbound lane near mile post 79 while trying to avoid a vehicle in front of it making an abrupt stop to make an illegal u-turn in front of it. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane until just before 8:00pm. The driver of the semi, Donald Ray Beechum of McMinnville, TN was not hurt. No word on if any charges were filed.
