Benton – The Benton City Council will meet tonight at 6 at City Hall on South Main. The council will be discussing with possible approval several items including accepting bids for roof repairs at the fire department, unrestricting $300,000 from the wastewater treatment plant funds, restricting $300,000 for the North Main water line replacement project, approval of the 2019-20 annual budget, appointing City Clerk Brook Craig to the Fire Pension Board for a three-year term – the current term expires April 30, 2019, appointing Lisa Meno to the Police Pension Board for a two-year term – the current term expires May 14, 2019, a purchase agreement for surplus city owned real property, CA-10 rock bid and a 2019 oil and chip bid. The meeting is open to the public.
