Alexander Co. Sheriff’s Office Hoping New Details Help Identify Man Found in Ohio River Near Cairo

Cairo – The Alexander Co. Sheriff’s Office is hoping that newly released details help in revealing the identity of a man whose body was pulled from the Ohio River in Cairo on Monday. According to a release from the Alexander Co. Sheriff’s Office the body was found by a barge worker at around 2:30 Monday afternoon. They are describing the body as that of a white male between 25-35 years old weighing around 180 pounds and standing about 6’2″. They believe that the body had been in the river no longer than a month. The sheriff’s office has contacted local agencies to see if there are any missing person cases that would possibly match the identity of the man that they found.
