Orient Man Sentenced to Five Years in Connection to Motorcycle Theft

Williamson Co. – An Orient man Tuesday pled guilty to burglary – a Class 2 felony – in Williamson County and was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says 24-year-old Kyle Kalaher will serve two years of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.  Zanotti says on Feb. 18, 2019, an Energy Police officer responded to a call from Rides Plus Call Center in Energy reporting a burglary and theft of a motorcycle. Herrin, Marion and Johnston City Police Departments assisted with the location of the motorcycle and the apprehension of Kalaher, who had an active warrant out of Franklin County for burglary.
