Carbondale – Free Parking is coming back to Carbondale on a trial basis after the City Council approved a resolution at their meeting Tuesday night. The council approved a resolution that would allow free parking in the city for up to three hours. The trial period will go into effect on July 1st and run through the rest of 2019 until January first of 2020. The free parking will not apply to the Amtrak parking lot.
