Mt. Vernon – A Mt. Vernon man wanted in connection to a shooting earlier this month is behind bars after turning himself in. According to a release from the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office, Calvin Webster, who had a warrant out for his arrest in connection to a non-fatal shooting on the 2300 block of Perkins Ave. on June 4th, turned himself into the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office yesterday afternoon. He is being charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and bail has been set at $350,000.
