Three Hurt in Two-Vehicle Gallatin Co. Accident Saturday

Gallatin Co. – Three are recovering following a two-vehicle wreck on at Illinois 1 and 141 in Gallatin Co. Saturday. According to a release from the Illinois State Police, the accident happened when a vehicle being driven by 80-year-old Frank Burk of Watson IL was headed southbound on Illinois 1 and failed to stop at the four-way stop at the intersection with Illinois 141, striking another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, 41-year old Nathan Baldwin of Norris City was injured, along with Burk and his passenger, 6-8-year-old Carolyn Seibert of Watson. They were all taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Burk received a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.
