Murphysboro – A sentencing has been made in connection to the murder of Robin Steif in Carbondale in 2016. According to a release from the Jackson Co. State’s Attorney’s Office, 25-year-old Tiesha Anderson of Collinsville pleaded guilty on Friday to charges of First Degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death. Anderson will serve 35-years on the murder charge and then 5 more for the concealment charge. The burned remains of Steif were discovered in August of 2016 in a wooded area not far from the 900 block of East Main Street. Anderson, along with Lauren Stinde and Robert Dennis were later arrested in connection to the murder. Stinde has pleaded guilty to a charge of first degree murder and is awaiting sentencing. Dennis has pleaded not guilty and awaits a jury trial.
