West Frankfort Man Charged With First-Degree Murder After Body Found in Rural Williamson Co.

Williamson Co. – A West Frankfort man is behind bars after a woman’s remains were found in rural Williamson County this morning. According to a release from the West Frankfort Police Department, 48-year-old Thomas D. McCoy was arrested after being named as a suspect in the disappearance of 29-year-old Kendra Ardery of Johnston City. Ardery’s body was found near the intersection of Angelville Road and Meadowlark Road north of Creal Springs. McCoy faces charges of first-degree murder, concealing a homicidal death and abuse of a corpse. Ardery, who allegedly lived with McCoy, had been called in as missing by family members on Sunday. McCoy was questioned by West Frankfort police and eventually told them where her body was.
