Carbondale – Carbondale Police are releasing the identity of the pedestrian who was killed after be struck by a train Monday night. According to a release from the Carbondale Police, the victim has been identified as 57-year-old Beverly Carvell of Carbondale. Police say at this point in the investigation, there is not any indication foul play related to the incident that happened around 6 p.m. at the railroad crossing on Main Street. After officers arrived they determined that Carvell had been walking eastbound across the tracks and the northbound Canadian National freight train struck and killed her. The investigation into the accident continues.
