Missing Tamms Man Found in Mississippi River After Home Burnt Down

Alexander Co. – Illinois State Police say the body of a man reported missing after his home burned down last week in Alexander County has been recovered from the Mississippi River in Tennessee and is being investigated as a homicide. Officials say the fire happened at Larry L. McNelly’s home on McDaniel School Road in rural Tamms on Sept. 10. He was the only person living  there. No further information will be release at this time. The investigation into the fire and the homicide continues.  Anyone with information regarding the case of Larry L.
