Murphysboro – School is back in session in Murphysboro as the week-long teachers’ strike in Murphysboro is over. A tentative agreement was made between the Murphysboro Education Association and School Board last night, and parents were notified that students can come back to school today. In a post on the MEA Facebook page, the union states that details of the agreement will not be made public until the school board votes on the proposal next Tuesday night. They also thanked the community for standing with them during the strike.
