MARION – The City of Marion will host a downtown Christmas event around Tower Square on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
Cody Moake, Mayor Mike Absher’s chief of staff, said the upcoming activities should help create a “great event.”
The ice skating fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children (which includes the skate rental), and carriage ride are $10 per family. Food vendors will also be set up for a fee. Various restaurants and shops will also be open during the event.
Moake added everything was donated for this year’s event through private donations. The money made during this year’s event will support next year’s.
