CARMI – A Carmi man will face drug and motor vehicle charges following an early Sunday morning traffic stop for an expired registration sticker at the intersection of Oak St. and Lexington Ave. in Carmi.
Carmi police said their K9 alerted them to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in finding a small amount of improperly transported cannabis.
The driver, 22-year-old Blake A. Duvall, was arrested and issued citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
According to the police, Duvall bonded out of the White County Jail later Sunday after paying his $100 bond on the cannabis charge, plus a $20 booking fee.
