CARMI – Two Indiana residents face drug and other charges following a traffic stop for a taillight issue at Main and Seventh in Carmi late Thursday night.
According to a release from Carmi Police, after the vehicle was stopped for a taillight emitting an white light to the rear of the vehicle, a police K9 alerted officers to the vehicle, who found multiple items of contraband after a search.
Twenty-one-year-old Seth Hunter Sales of Princeton, IN was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, unlawful use of property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
Twenty-one-year-old Dashea Rachelle Simmons of Evansville, IN was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful use of weapons and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
Both were taken to the White County Jail in Carmi.
