Local Lawmakers Working from Home, Hoping for Late Spring Return to Springfield

HARRISBURG – As the COVID-19 crisis continues, state lawmakers are attempting to get their usual session work done away from the capitol. Lawmakers will not convene at the capitol at least through the month of April.

State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) said he and his colleagues are preparing and hoping for a possible return to Springfield later in the spring.

Fowler said in addition to getting through the crisis, lawmakers understand they have to still be thinking long-term regarding the future of Illinois.
