Over $1.2M Awarded for Road Projects in SEIL Counties

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – Over $1.2 million of the $250 million Governor J.B. Pritzker awarded to local government entities for road projects Thursday will be coming to southeast Illinois.

Among the list of projects, about $592,900 will be coming to Saline County, about $281,200 will be coming to Gallatin County, about $200,400 will be coming to Pope County, and about $137,300 will come to Hardin County.

The money has been divided between counties, townships, and municipalities for road projects in their respective communities. The funding was made possible through the Rebuild Illinois capital plan.
