In a recent interview with Bustle, Stephenie Meyer admitted there was something about the Twilight stories that she wishes she would have done differently:
She would have had Edward tell Bella he loved her SOONER.
Meyer said, quote, “When I was writing Twilight, things felt right…But then I realized [Edward] absolutely would have told [Bella] he loved her sooner. There’s no way he wouldn’t have. There were certain points where I’m like, ‘Yes, he would have said it right here.’ And I can’t change that. And that’s very frustrating.”
Meyer’s long-awaited retelling of the story in Edward’s perspective, Midnight Sun is available now.
