WEST VIENNA – Bridge repairs will begin Wednesday on the structure carrying Illinois 37 over the Cache River just south of West Vienna, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) .
IDOT said lane closures will begin at 7 a.m., with traffic reduced to one lane and controlled by signals. Bridge repairs are expected to be completed by December 1.
A width restriction of 11’6″ will be in place. Motorists are advised to slow down, watch out for equipment and workers, be cautious while driving through the work zone, and to seek other routes to avoid any delays. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone as quickly as possible.
