SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Monday announced 1,373 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including five additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 262,744 cases, including 8,314 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
Local case breakdown:
- Williamson Count: 24
- Jefferson County: 12
- Union County: nine
- Franklin and Saline counties: seven each
- Jackson and Johnson counties: six each
- Massac County: five
- Alexander County: four
- Hamilton County: three
- White, Pulaski and Hardin counties: two
- Pope County: one
- All cases are in isolation.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests from Sept. 7-13 is 3.6 percent.
