SPRINGFIELD – State health officials Monday reported 10,573 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 14 additional deaths. Over 400 cases were reported across southern Illinois, with many stemming from test positivity over the weekend.
Currently, a total of 498,560 cases, including 10,210 deaths, have been reported statewide since the pandemic began.

- Perry County: 79 (since Nov. 6)
- Hamilton County: 47 (since Nov. 6)
- Williamson County: 41
- Jackson County: 40
- Johnson County 37
- Franklin County: 34
- Massac County: 21
- Union County: 17
- Saline and Pulaski counties: 15 each
- Alexander County: 13
- White County: nine
- Hardin County: eight
- Gallatin County: six
- Pope County: two
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests from Nov. 2–8 is 11.4 percent.
