Withers Broadcasting – St. Kicks of Southern Illinois is launching their fourth annual “shoeraiser” in an effort to collect new, quality shoes for children here in southern Illinois. According to a release from St. Kicks, the are collaborating with the community to collect donated shoes and with social worker partners in our local schools to ensure the shoes get onto the feet of the kids who really need them. If you’d like to help, they ask that you purchase a new (preferably still in the box) pair of branded athletic shoes sized 1Y — 14 adult and then drop them off at any of their collection sites throughout the area: The Print Shop in Marion, Stack’d Supplements in Marion and Carbondale, Arsenal BJJ/Stark Fitness in Benton, Henosis Health & Fitness Carbondale, and Marion Chevy. For more information, you can visit the St. Kicks of Southern Illinois Facebook page.
