SPRINGFIELD – Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Wednesday he’ll keep the mask mandate in place “as long as it will be helpful in keeping people safe” from COVID-19.
The governor said he has continued concerns about COVID-19 and reported variants, but noted the state’s low case positivity. If trends continue down, he said the state can open things more, but didn’t elaborate.
Some at the statehouse are calling for the 50 people per group limits to be raised to 150.
