Illinois Expanding COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Monday

SPRINGFIELD – Starting Monday, the state is expanding vaccine eligibility in order to get more front line workers vaccinated.

Higher education staff, government workers and the media will be able to sign up for the COVID-19 shot. Restaurant staff, construction workers and religious leaders will be then be eligible March 29.

Attorney General Kwame Raoul received his first dose this past weekend, and urged others to do the same.

 

On April 12, all remaining Illinoisans 16 and older will be eligible. A list of vaccination locations is available here.
